Dosage Form: 20 MG
Key Effects
Cialis is available in several strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg (for daily use), and 10mg or 20mg (for as-needed use). For Daily Cialis (2.5-5mg), take once daily, effective for most ED and BPH cases. Standard Cialis (10-20mg) can be taken anytime, beginning to work within 30 minutes. For arterial hypertension, a 2.5mg daily dose is typical.
Functions and Traits:
Cialis (Tadalafil) is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PED5) inhibitor primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and, secondarily, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Known as “The Weekend Pill,” it has an 18-hour half-life and longer active effects. Cialis aids in maintaining erections by increasing blood flow to the penis; however, sexual arousal is still required.
Effects of Cialis:
Cialis primarily treats ED caused by poor blood flow, allowing for stronger and longer-lasting erections. It does not address ED caused by hormonal issues, such as low testosterone. Besides ED, Cialis has been approved to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (since 2009) and BPH (since 2011) by lowering blood pressure and reducing pressure around the prostate and urinary tract.
