Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) is a SERM widely used to promote fertility by enhancing gonadotropin release, increasing Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH). This process helps release eggs, improving the chances of conception. Clomid’s anti-estrogen properties also benefit anabolic steroid users, as it binds to estrogen receptors, reducing risks like gynecomastia and water retention without lowering estrogen levels.

For steroid users, Clomid is particularly valuable during Post Cycle Therapy (PCT), as it stimulates natural testosterone production by increasing LH and FSH release—important for recovery after cycle-induced suppression.

Effects of Clomid

1. Fertility: Clomid boosts conception chances by enhancing gonadotropin release.
2. On-Cycle Anti-Estrogen: Clomid can reduce estrogenic effects, especially gynecomastia, although it won’t lower estrogen levels or water retention. It also supports better cholesterol levels, which can be impacted by steroid use.
3. Post-Cycle Therapy (PCT): Clomid is a key part of PCT for its ability to stimulate testosterone production, shortening recovery time after steroid use. A complete PCT plan, often including Clomid, Nolvadex, and HCG, is essential to prevent prolonged low testosterone symptoms like muscle loss, fat gain, and other health issues.

Dosage and Administration

1. Fertility: 50mg per day starting five days into the menstrual cycle for five days. If ineffective, the dose may increase to 100mg, repeated over 5-6 cycles if needed.
2. On-Cycle Protection: Standard dosage is 50mg per day. If this doesn’t prevent estrogenic effects, stronger options like an AI (e.g., Arimidex) may be necessary.
3. PCT Use: Start with 100-150mg per day for 1-2 weeks, then reduce to 50-100mg for another 1-2 weeks, and finish with 50mg for 1-2 weeks. Total PCT duration is typically 4-6 weeks. Pairing with Nolvadex and HCG can enhance recovery.

Timing Considerations for PCT:

• If using large-ester steroids, begin Clomid 2 weeks after the last injection.
• For small-ester steroids, start Clomid 3 days after the last injection.
• If using HCG, begin HCG first (timing depends on ester size) and start Clomid after completing HCG therapy.
